A Vintage Porsche and a Magical Castle Setting: Christopher & Elisha

Featuring an adorable pooch VIP

Starting of their day with a gorgeous floral-filled church ceremony, our real wedding couple Christopher and Elisha celebrated as newlyweds in the picture-perfect Castle Bellingham. With pooch Penelope by their sides, their sun soaked special day featured groom Christopher's vintage Porsche - which made for some seriously stylish wedding portraits. Featuring an elegant monochrome colour palette, check out Christopher and Elisha's spectacular wedding day, captured by Sasha Treanor Photography, below!

Before diving into the details of their spectacular September wedding, let's get to know the happy couple a bit more! Hailing from Co. Armagh, Elisha and Christopher's paths crossed "by chance at a local filling station, Chris sent me a Facebook message after and we went on our first date to the cinema."

Fast forward to their sweet surprise proposal story: "Chris had the ring designed and made, then asked my mum and granda's permission and proposed when we were on holiday in Stella Island in Crete which was a post-Covid treat as we hadn’t been on holiday in so long. I was actually taking a video of the hotel - little did I know I was turning round to Chris on one knee."

The couple's adorable pooch had an important role to play on their wedding day: "Our dog Penelope (Penny/Kenny/Wenny) got ready with the boys the morning of the wedding and sat at the front of the church with us!"

Describing their wedding aesthetic as simple, timeless and classic and wanting something that would carry through the years, Elisha incorporated their monochrome colour scheme into her bouquet with an elegant all-white arrangement of roses, orchids and gypsophila. To complete her stylish look, the glowing bride paired her phenomenal Sarah Seven gown with pearl earrings belonging to her mum which served as her “something borrowed”.

With 70 people in attendance for their sunsoaked celebration, Elish's mum and nannie made the confetti and the bags for their guests: "We wanted to keep our wedding small and intimate and be surrounded by our closest friends and family."

Elisha and Christopher exchanged vows in a floral-filled ceremony at Markethill Presbyterian Church: "Both of our readings were very personal to us as Chris’ godfather and my grandfather read them for us. All of our music chosen was apt for us with very meaningful words."

Travelling in style, groom Christopher's Porsche 911 made an appearance on the couple's wedding day: "We decided to keep things minimal and elegant, so our wedding wouldn’t date and remain a timeless classic, just like Chris’ cars!"

To celebrate, the pair made their way to Bellingham Castle for their stylish reception: "We had both been to a wedding separately and loved the venue. When it came to deciding on ours, it was a no-brainer - nothing else compared. We also loved that the venue was ours for the day, which made it more special."

How gorgeous are Elisha's steely blue bridesmaids dresses from Chichi London?

Elisha and Christopher had this advice for couple's planning their own wedding days: "Do whatever you both want, make the day your own. Spend the day together and try to find some time for just the two of you to soak it all in. Try not to stress about the little things and enjoy your day!"

On what made their day all the more special: "All our small touches and attention to detail. Our cars were Chris’ own car collection, the sun came out and we enjoyed our drinks reception outside with a saxophonist setting the ambiance for the most relaxed, chilled day that we both had hoped for. I really loved seeing the whole day come together, from the pearl jewellery and shoes to match the pearls on my dress, to Chris’ cars to match our theme."

With their castle reception going on to include a first dance to Lewis Capaldi's Love the Hell Out of You, a vintage car cake topper and a fun sparkler exit, the newlyweds jetted off on their well-deserved honeymoon two days after their wedding: "We spent two weeks between Dubai and Bali. We had the best time ever, treated ourselves to business class flights, this was like nothing we had ever experienced before! We needed to unwind after all the festivities!"
