A Fab Vintage-Inspired Village Fete Wedding: Roisin & Jameel

A sweet, laid-back day that celebrates community, family, and each other!

Are you looking for inspiration for the perfect at home wedding celebration? Well, look no further because today's real wedding is about to take your breath away! Roisin and Jameel's village fete style wedding at the bride's parents house in Norfolk was a fun, relaxed affair full of charm and character. The combo of ingredients that makeup this one-of-a-kind day result in a truly beautiful wedding 'recipe'. Stunning garden-style florals, quintessential English character, a show stopping vintage-inspired dress, and bursting with sweet personal details galore... it's like no other fete we've ever set our sights on and that's why we love it so!  Take in all the charm from these beautiful images captured by Lisa and Neil Wedding Photography...

Roisin and Jameel told us they first meet as many modern couples now do, on an internet dating website!

Roisin tells us the proposal happened on 'a random Tuesday evening whilst I was sat on the sofa!' She adds, 'Jameel was meant to wait until the weekend to propose as it was our anniversary, however, he just couldn't wait until the weekend and popped the question on the Tuesday before!' Roisin did wonder why there was a bottle of champagne in the fridge that evening when she got home from work but didn’t twig what was about to happen!

Once their September date was set, the couple chose to say 'I do' at St Margaret’s Church in Cley-Next-The-Sea in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Their reception took at the Curates House which is the Brides Mother and Step Father's home where they were surrounded by 52 of their nearest and dearest.

When planning their wedding, the couples priority was to have a 'relaxed, fun day for our families to enjoy!'.

And the perfect spot for their laid-back celebrations? The brides mums house. Roisin says, 'having the wedding at my Mums house made the wedding truly unique. So many people helped to make it happen and contributed towards gardening, putting up tents, making and putting up decorations and sourcing the drinks!'. Cars on the day were also lovingly lent by a family friend and the couple's wedding cake was made by the very talented Mother-of-the Bride! Sounds like it was a real team effort!

Roisin tells us Cley-Next-The-Sea was always the dream spot for their nuptials. The bride says, 'Cley is such a beautiful place, it made such sense to have the wedding there with its sea views, grassy marshes, cobbled streets and beautiful houses.'

Roisin's fab short and sweet wedding dress is an Aire Barcelona design. She completed her bridal look with a pearl necklace, pearl headpiece and 'Something Blue' suede heels from LK Bennett.

We're just smitten with the guipure floral lace and dainty bow detail on Roisin's dress. Loving Jameel's floral bow-tie too, perfect for a vintage-inspired village fete wedding!

These portraits are like something from a storybook!

The couple are yet to go on honeymoon, but are hoping to go to Malawi later this year.

Thank you so much to Roisin and Jameel for sharing their sweet wedding in Norfolk with us and to Lisa and Neil Wedding Photography for capturing it all so beautifully. You can see more from their village fete wedding in the gallery below.
